Lake Louise (Peace and Tranquility) – One Take Improvisation
My first attempt at recording a one take improvisation. Inspired by the beauty of Lake Louise.
Curious and Cold – Vaughan String Quartet Premiere
Date/Time: July 23, 2022 – 7:30 PM
Inspired by the quartet’s stories of immigration and misunderstanding the lyrics of the Canadian national anthem, this piece plays around with the theme of the anthem in a curious and cold way.
As part of the Evolution: Quartet Concert series the Vaughan String Quartet premiered the new work “Curious and Cold” at the Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity.
Make sure to see when the quartet is performing next at http://www.vaughanquartet.com or listen to their great music on their YouTube Channel
If you would like a copy of the score you can contact myself or the Vaughan String Quartet
Choristers’ Private Tears
Jordan: “Hey David? Can you arrange a sea shanty for Chronos Vocal Ensemble?”
David: “Sure! That sounds fun! We should parody Barrett’s Privateers by Stan Rogers”
Jordan: “We should have the lyrics by Friday.
Oh, and can you have it ready to rehearse this Sunday?”
David: “Uhh…. sure why not!”
Special Thanks to:
Jordan Van Biert (for Artistic Direction and last minute corrections),
Stephanie Mattingly (for hilarious text),
Chronos Vocal Ensemble (for wonderful singing),
Aaron and Chad (For music and video post production)
